Plymouth Admirals' rushing game clicked into gear with five touchdowns against the Reading Renegades, in what was the Devon club's first win of the season.
Last year's leading running back Nick Copley got the first two scores as his side won 36-15 at Parkway Sports Club.
Rookie rusher Kyle Micallef managed his first two touchdowns, as well as catching two passes and taking two interceptions.
Marco Pinder also scored as the Admirals left the bottom the table.
It was a hundred times better than in our first two games
Head coach Steve Perry
Copley led the team with 171 total yards as Plymouth moved into fourth place in the South West Conference of the BAFL's second division.
They are now one place and one win behind the Cornish Sharks, who they face in a fortnight's time.
"Kyle was immense for us today but we had a lot of stars on both offence and defence," said head coach Steve Perry.
"Copley is another obvious one and Rob Williams lead the team well at quarterback, but overall I was very pleased with all the offensive players I saw in action today.
"It was a hundred times better than in our first two games and gives me real confidence we can move on from here," Perry added.
The Admirals' next game is at home to the league leaders South Wales Warriors on Sunday 8 June.
