The Sharks next game is against the Reading Renegades
The Cornish Sharks conceded a late touchdown to lose 7-3 at reigning BAFL Two South West Conference champions, the South Wales Warriors.
The Sharks took a 3-0 first quarter lead through a Kiell Purell field goal.
But they missed their next four field-goal attempts and dropped two certain touchdown passes.
The Warriors scored late in the fourth quarter when they recovered a punt by a Sharks player and sneaked in to score on the fourth down.
South Wales then ran out the clock to ensure a win which means they are now second in the table, the Sharks are third.
"We travelled to Wales with a number of key players missing from the squad, I had to make adjustments with the players available to cover the loss," said head coach Brian Smallworth.
We know that when we are at home we will have every player available

"Everyone was disappointed in the result but sometimes when Lady Luck is not on your side that's how it goes.
"We know that when we are at home we will have every player available which will make us a lot stronger than we have been in the away games."
Smallworth added: "We now have six training sessions to get ready for our next game at home in early June against the Reading Renegades.
"We will make all the adjustments to ensure we don't miss so many opportunities."
