Ten teams are preparing to contest the inaugural two-day Isle of Man Adventure Race which starts on Saturday. The teams of four will start the challenge with a sea swim followed by kayak and mountain bike races. The event continues on Sunday with a gruelling hill run before a 30-metre rope climb and finishes with a coasteering challenge. Organiser Keirron Tastage said: "This will will be a real test of skill and endurance but also a lot of fun." The event will start at 0900 BST on Saturday with an anti-clockwise swim around Peel Castle on the west coast of the Island. Tastage added: "We've had a lot of interest this year and we hope the event will continue to grow and attract people to see the best our Island has to offer."
