Freddie Seymour is one of five Jersey surfers expected to do well |
Jersey's best young surfers are in Devon this weekend for the Saltrock Surf Open at Croyde Beach. Matt Chapman, Nathan Elms, Brad Ferguson, Freddie Seymour and Chantelle Coote are looking to cause upsets. And Jersey Surfboard Club coach Dave Ferguson told BBC Radio Jersey: "It's the toughest competition these guys have faced. "But I think they should do some damage. My confidence is high for all the surfers." | After last weekend's massive and, at times, treacherous conditions they should do really well over in Devon |
After the large and difficult conditions of the past two Jersey events, the young surfers should be at ease in the 2-4ft surf expected for Croyde. Ferguson added: "After last weekend's massive and, at times, treacherous conditions they should do really well over in Devon." The next Jersey competition is the 'King of the Groms' contest to be held at St Ouen on 6 June.
