Four Manx martial arts competitors have returned from the 2009 Martial Arts Festival UK in Leicester with medals. Neil Pearson, Dave Pearson, Lisa McAuley-Quayle and Rob Keelan brought home three gold medals and two silver medals between them. Keelan beat the Swedish kickboxing champion to win gold while McAuley-Quayle lost out to the Swedish women's champion to get the silver. World champions Neil and Dave Pearson took golds in the karate tournament. Neil Pearson said: "The team are delighted with their success and are training hard and looking ahead to the 2009 World Championships in Italy on 4 November."
