Young Jersey table tennis player Hugo Tupper has risen to 15th in the British under-13 rankings.

Of the 12-year-old, Chris Band from the Jersey Table Tennis Association said: "This is a truly remarkable achievement and he deserves immense praise.

"The juniors have been training hard under the expert eye of development officer Craig Gascoyne."

Hugo's brother Max is ranked 173rd in the country at under-18 level, while Luke Walker is 158th.
