The Jersey Badminton team has gone to the top of National League Division Two after a 10-5 win over Surrey.

The previously unbeaten Surrey team had no answer to Kerry Coombs-Goodfellow and Kim Ashton who won all four of their respective matches.

With only three rounds of the Inter-County Championships Jersey are on track for promotion.

Jersey player Ian Coombs-Goodfellow was pleased: "A tremendous result. It shows the strength of Jersey badminton."

Jersey's next round is on Saturday, 28 February when they host bottom of the table Sussex.
