Ordidge is hoping to be called up for the European Triathlon Youth Championships

Shropshire triathlete Ryan Ordidge has targeted the Great Britain Youth title after an impressive second place in the London Triathlon youth section.

The 16-year-old finished just six seconds behind Peter Anderson after impressive swim, bike and road races.

The London Triathlon attracted 10,000 competitors from all over the world, and 45,000 spectators.

Next up are the GB Youth Championships, the last of the 2008 series, with the national title within Ordidge's sights.
