Russia grabbed a consolation bronze in the men's handball after a 28-26 victory over Hungary. The defending Olympic champions were surprised by Germany in the semi-finals, but brushed aside Hungary.
"Of course we wanted to get the gold, but this is life and this is sport," said wing Denis Krivoshlykov.
"Once we got to the semi-final then obviously our ambitions turned to the gold - but now we are happy just to get the bronze."
