Darren Sower and Mike Winspear won the 17th Brewin Dolphin Channel Island's Hobie Cat Championships Sunday. Sailing their Tiger class, Cross-eyed Moose, they won five of the six races to take the overall win ahead of Mick Doleman and Damian James. The brisk easterly winds in St Aubin's Bay made for excellent racing for the record turnout of boats. In the Hobie 16 class, Laura Jane Carter and Stephanie Egre won the women's competition. Ian and Zoe Cabot won the masters section, with Emma Voak and Alex Tucker taking the title in the cadets Dragoon Class, with Louis Sangan and Jonty Gales coming second.
