Age 17, Table tennis Born London, plays for York Gardens and London Progress clubs Knight calls table tennis his saviour after resisting the temptations of crime growing up on the streets of south London to become one of Britain's hottest prospects. He learned his tricks in an old shed and, at 11, won all but one of the age group competitions at the 2001 Greater London Championship. Now training full-time at the national academy in Sheffield, he is already playing for GB on the World Pro Tour and is the current national U-21 champion.
