Age 19, BMX racing Born Crewe It wasn't so long ago that 'Speedy Ready' said she wanted to be the "fastest girl on two wheels" and her goals would "never be complete until she is Olympic champion". Reade calls herself 'sport mad'. She started out in athletics, but fell in love with BMX after her uncle took her to a local race. She was World U-18 BMX champ at 15, and has eight European, five British and three world titles. In March she won a world track cycling gold with Victoria Pendleton in the women's team sprint.
