Anna Hemmings and Jessica Walker won the K2 500m event at the British trials to earn a berth at May's European flat water canoeing championships in Milan. Britain has named a team of 15 for the event, where they will have the chance to qualify for the Beijing Games. Eight Olympic places are available in Milan, with Tim Brabants already qualified in the K1 500m and 1000m. Hemmings, 30, competed at Sydney in 2000 but has since fought back from chronic fatigue syndrome.  | 606: DEBATE | Lucy Wainwright won the 200m and 500m races in the K1 class at the weekend's GB trials in Nottingham - she is also aiming to reach her second Olympics, having raced at Athens.
