Interview: archer Larry Godfrey Bristol archer Larry Godfrey says he is happy he shot as well in Beijing as he did when finishing fourth in Athens four years ago. Godfrey, 32, lost 114-109 to Russian Bair Badenov in the first round of the individual event but told BBC Sport he was happy with the way he shot. "I'm a little bit disappointed that I didn't go through [but] I shot well. "Fair play to him. I think I shot better than in Athens and bombed out. That's the way it goes with archery." Godfrey said he was pleased just to have competed in his second Olympics. "I'm pleased to have put the effort in and I'm here. I can say I've had a crack at it again," said Godfrey. "Practice prior to going out was good and I wanted to repeat that in the arena and I did. "I was more than happy with the way I shot, the control, the composure. I did my best."
