Rudman came second overall in the World Cup standings |
Britain's Shelley Rudman kept up her good form ahead of the Winter Olympics with a bronze medal at the Skeleton European Championships in Igls. The Olympic silver medallist came fourth in Friday's eighth and final round of the World Cup which doubled as the European Championships. As the third-best European slider she claimed bronze to add to her 2009 European title. She also came second overall in the World Cup behind Melissa Hollingsworth. The Canadian was pushed down to third in Austria after Germany's Kerstin Szymkowiak produced a terrific second run to climb from fifth to second, relegating Rudman to fourth. Germany's Anja Huber was fastest in both runs to win both the World Cup event and the European crown. Britain's Amy Williams finished 10th in Igls to claim sixth in the European Championship and fifth overall in the World Cup standings. | 606: DEBATE |

Kristan Bromley is sixth in the rankings with Chris Type 13th and Adam Pengilly 17th.
