Shelley Rudman bags Skeleton World Cup win in St Moritz
Rudman's gold adds to the one she won in Cessana, Italy in December
Britain's Shelley Rudman produced a storming second heat to take victory in the Skeleton World Cup in St Moritz.
The Olympic silver medallist was nine hundredths of a second down on Mellisa Hollingsworth after the first run, but then posted a seasonal track record.
A time of two minutes 20.42 seconds put pressure on the Canadian, who ended four hundredths adrift in second.
In the men's competition Britain's Kristan Bromley took silver in his best result of the season.
Rudman's second win of her campaign closes the gap between her and Hollingsworth at the top of the overall standings to 34 points.
Her rival skidded through the early part of her second run and, even with a first-heat lead, could not keep pace with Rudman's time of 1:9.88.
Kristan Szymkowiak of Germany finished third, while Rudman's Great Britain team-mate Amy Williams took fourth with an overall time of 2:20.95.
After a superb first heat, Bromley saw his lead on the rest of the field wiped out as problems with the start grooves meant the results were cancelled by the event organisers.
But, with the event reduced to a single run, he came close to victory with a time of 1:09.27 proving good enough for silver behind American Eric Bernotas.

Pengilly took his second silver on the track in two days, while Type won the bronze.
Donna Creighton was 10th in the women's race, with fellow Briton Sarah Sydney finishing in 15th spot.
Britain's Ant Sawyer came eighth in Friday's competition, while Type was ninth. In the women's race, Sydney posted her best result of the season to come eighth.
The cup's final round at Park City in Utah, United States, starts on Friday.
