Archer Charlotte Burgess focused on 2012 preparation
Burgess missed out on a medal at Beijing
Archer Charlotte Burgess says she has put her life on complete hold to prepare for London 2012.
Stockport's Burgess is part of the Great Britain women's squad based full-time at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall in Shropshire.
They finished in fourth place at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
"Life is completely based round the Olympics to make sure when London comes along you're fully prepared," she told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"It takes over everything - the times I'm going out, the times I'm coming in, the competitions and training I'm doing, the physical work, the mental work.
"It has to take over your life, you can't just socialise and expect to pick things up at the weekend.
"You've got to carry on every day - and there's always something you can find to do to make sure you'll be completely ready when it's the time," the Salford-born archer added.
