St Michael's Enniskillen hammered 14-man Omagh CBS 3-10 to 0-8 in Saturday's Bank of Ireland MacRory Cup quarter-final second replay.

Omagh's Liam Nicholas was red-carded in the first half after appearing to pull the jersey of the referee while protesting at a penalty award.

Liam Lynch converted the penalty which helped St Michael's lead 1-8 to 0-2 at the interval.

Michael Curran and Mark Cunningham scored Enniskillen's second half goals.

Cunningham was St Michael's top-scorer with 1-4.

The victory earns St Michael's a semi-final meeting with St Louis Kilkeel at Corrigan Park in Belfast on Wednesday (1400 GMT).

St Michael's were clearly fired up for the contest which they went into without skipper Shane McAloon.

On Thursday night, the Michael's captain had lost his appeal against suspension which had been a further twist in the controversial MacRory Cup saga.

St Michael's fielded McAloon in the first replay even though the Ulster Colleges had intended to suspend the player.

However, the wrong name was included in the letter detailing the suspension.

Because of the administrative slip by the Ulster Council, McAloon had not been officially suspended but the affair nevertheless caused major disquiet.

The Enniskillen school has insisted that McAloon should not have received any suspension arising from the brawl at the original drawn game between the sides.

However, after winning the initial replay St Michael's then offered a further replay to Omagh CBS.

To add further spice to Saturday's game, the Ulster Colleges GAA Council also passed a motion of no confidence in the organisation's vice-chairman and St Michael's manager Dominic Corrigan.
