McAloon MacRory appeal rejected
Omagh won last year's MacRory Cup final
St Michael's Enniskillen and Omagh have been caught up in the affair
The All-Ireland Colleges Council has rejected St Michael's Enniskillen's appeal against the suspension handed to their captain Shane McAloon.

The player lined out in last weekend's MacRory Cup quarter-final replay win over Omagh CBS although the schools have now agreed to replay the game.

The Ulster Colleges had intended to suspend McAloon but included the wrong name in the official suspension letter.

St Michael's plan a further appeal to the Disputes Resolution Authority.

The winners of this Saturday's MacRory Cup quarter-final replay between St Colman's Newry and St Louis Kilkeel at Newcastle (1300 GMT) will face either St Michael's or Omagh CBS in the semi-finals of the Bank of Ireland-sponsored competition.

The first semi-final between Abbey CBS and Magherafelt will be played on Saturday in Dungannon (noon).
