Omagh beat St Louis Kilkeel in last season's MacRory Cup final |
The all-Down tie between St Colman's Newry and St Louis Kilkeel was the main talking-point after Monday's Bank of Ireland MacRory Cup quarter-final draw. St Colman's are managed this year by former Down star Cathal Murray, who last season, guided St Louis to their first ever MacRory decider.
Holders Omagh CBS will take on St Michael's Enniskillen.
St Mary's Magherafelt will face St Pat's Armagh while Abbey CBS will play 2004 winners St Pat's Dungannon.
All four quarter-finals will be played on 11 February although times and venues have yet to be worked out.
Murray spent fourteen years at the Kilkeel school, culminating in their first ever appearance in the MacRory Cup last March.
"I had a feeling we would get a Down school as there's also the Abbey in the last eight," said Murray.
"It'll definitely be the tie of the round. They know me well and I know them".
Kilkeel still have Down All Ireland Minor winner Martin Clarke and are coached by Stephen McVeigh, who was Murray's assistant last season.
The MacLarnon Cup quarter-final draw was also made on Monday.
Holders Our Lady's Castleblayney will take on Rathmore Grammar in the last eight. All four MacLarnon quarter-finals take place on 4 February.
