Geoffrey McGonigle top scored in Dungiven's semi-final win |
Dungiven have received a boost with the news that Ciaran Hinphey will delay his planned departure to Australia to play in Sunday's Ulster Club Hurling Final against Dunloy at Casement Park.
Hinphey had been scheduled to travel Down Under this week but a change of plan now means that he will line out against last season's beaten All-Ireland Club Finalists.
Hinphey's availability will be badly needed by a side that will be minus the suspended Cathal McKeever and Hugh Pearse Mullan who both received straight red cards in Sunday's semi-final win over Keady.
In addition, Dungiven won't be able to draft in Eoin Farren as a replacement for either McKeever or Mullan as he is currently on holiday in the US.
The availability of another squad member Martin Hasson has been in doubt because he is scheduled to be in Bristol this weekend but he is expected to tog out for the Kevin Lynchs club if required.
The suspensions could mean call ups for Brian Mullan and Conal McCloskey while club captain Eddie Friel may also be drafted into the forward line.
