Fermanagh 0-5 Tyrone 1-21 Sean Cavanagh celebrates after scoring Tyrone's goal |
Tyrone booked their place in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Football Championship with a easy victory over Fermanagh.
Sunday's opening game at Croke Park was a 'no contest' as the Ulster Champions completely dominated from start to finish.
It was an impressive show from Mickey Harte's men and takes them one step closer to getting their hands on the coveted Sam Maguire trophy for the first time in their history.
But, for Fermanagh supporters, this was an embarrasingly one-sided encounter.
They were 1-11 to 0-3 down at half-time and things got no better in the second period as Tyrone seemed able to score at will.
The only goal of the game was scored by Sean Cavanagh on 15 minutes after Owen Mulligan had set up the chance.
All six Tyrone forwards had got on the scoresheet by the interval.
They were so far ahead that in the second period manager Harte had the luxury of being able to give some younger players the experience of playing at Croke.
Tyrone will play Kerry or Roscommon in the semi-finals on 24 August at Croke Park.
The Red Hand county last reached the final in 1995 when they lost by a point to Dublin.
