Tyrone's Stephen O'Neill is struggling with a knee injury |
Tyrone boss Mickey Harte has a number of injury problems on the run-up to Sunday week's Ulster SFC Final against Down.
Donegal have also a big query over their marksman Brendan Devenney who is doubtful for Saturday's qualifier against Tipperary at Croke Park.
Harte, though, saw Stephen O'Neill, Owen Mulligan, Chris Lawn, John Devine and Collie Holmes miss training on Wednesday evening with a variety of problems.
O'Neill is the most serious with an ankle injury which he sustained in the victory over Antrim.
''Stephen is probably the most serious injury we're concerned about,'' said Harte.
''He turned his ankle against Antrim and played a club game a week later, and it's not good for him at the minute.
''However, he's still hopeful. He's very positive lad and I hope he makes it through in time.
''Everybody else should come through in time.''
Devenney, meanwhile, has returned to training with the county squad and has had a run-out with his St Eunan's club recently.
Donegal may not risk Brendan Devenney at Croke Park |
However, Tir Conaill boss Brian McEniff is still unsure whether to give him a starting position. ''Croke Park is such a big pitch. There is no hiding place, not like some of the other places you play,'' said McEniff who has already lost five of his squad.
Noel McGinley and James Ruane are definitely ruled out while Eamon Reddan, Mark Crossan and Paul McGonigle are still on the treatment table following long-term injuries.
''This game has come too early for them,'' said McEniff. ''If we can get by this one, then in two or three weeks time we will have a stronger panel to choose from.''
Tipperary have left one vacancy in their team for Saturday's match with right half-back Pat Hally facing a late fitness test.
Niall Kelly is standing by to come into the Tipp side.
Liam England has travelled to the US and was not available for selection.
Dublin midfielder Darren Homan is likely to miss his side's qualifier against Armagh on Saturday with a shoulder injury.
Tipperary: P Ryan, R Costigan, S Collum, L Cronin, AN Other, D Fanning, N Fitzgerald, F O'Callaghan, E Hanrahan, A Fitzgerald, K Mulryan, P Cahill. D O'Brien, D Browne, B Hickey.
Ulster MFC semi-final:
Tyrone 1-9 0-9 Cavan
Tyrone Minors earned an Ulster final spot against Fermanagh on 13 July following Wednesday's semi-final replay victory over Cavan at Brewster Park.
It was an 18th minute goal by full-forward Michael Murphy that decided a game in which Cavan got off to a great start.
They were three points clear in the 18th minute before Tyrone stormed back to lead 1-6 to 0-7 at the break with Murphy flicking home a long ball from Patrick Early.
Cavan missed a penalty in the 10th minute, but drew level 16 minutes into the second half with points from Peter Monaghan and Michael Lyng who finished with five points.
But points from Martin McCreesh, Damian McDermott helped Tyrone into the final.
