Antrim hurlers' Kerry test
Dinny Cahill's Antrim beat Carlow by five points last time out
Dinny Cahill's Antrim will play Kerry at Croke Park on Monday

Allianz NHL Division Two Final: Antrim v Kerry | Monday, 5 May | Croke Park | 1400 BST

Antrim hurlers take on Kerry for the second time in a month on Monday with a place in Division One of the Allianz National Hurling League up for grabs.

Dinny Cahill's side were fortunate to claim a one-point success against the Kingdom when the teams met in Tralee on 13 April.

However, the Saffrons will have a stronger team in Monday's Division Two decider at Croke Park.

If full-back Kieran Kelly passes a late fitness test on a back injury, Cahill's side will have 14 of the team which started last year's All-Ireland Quarter-Final against Tipperary - the only omission being the suspended Liam Watson.

Cahill has used more than 35 players during the current league but, at the end of it all, appears to have come to the conclusion that last year's team is largely his strongest hand.

If Kelly misses out, Michael McCambridge will move from wing-back to the number three shirt with Michael Herron coming into the starting line-up.

Liam Watson is still awaiting his fate as to whether he will be available for his county's summer campaign.

Tipp v Kilkenny

The Loughgiel half forward had expected the result of his red card in a league match against Ballycastle earlier this week.

Instead he has been called to a hearing next week with the county's disciplinary leaving manager Dinny Cahill with a bit of a headache.

Watson is facing a possible 24-week ban in line with the GAA's ruling that suspensions are doubled if a player commits the same type of offence within a six-month period.

Watson's earlier suspension was for striking with the hurl, the same alleged red-card offence against Ballycastle on 16 April.

The interpretation of referee Frankie Quinn's report will be all-important as will Watson's personal appearance in front of the disciplinary committee.

Antrim's bank holiday game against Kerry (1400 BST) will precede the Division One decider between Kilkenny and Tipperary (1545).

Antrim: DD Quinn; M Kettle, AN Other, J Campbell; M McCambridge, K McKeegan, C Herron; C CUnning, J Connolly; A Mort, C McGuckian, capt, L Richmond, P Richmond, G O'Kane.
