Brian McEniff may also be without John Gildea on Sunday |
Donegal will be without midfielder John Haran in Sunday's Allianz NFL game against Tyrone in Coalisland.
Haran received a straight red card playing for St Eunan's in a re-arranged Donegal Championship quarter-final against Glencolmcille on Sunday.
The Donegal midfielder was involved in an off-the-ball incident with another county player Paddy Campbell.
Haran receives an automatic one-match ban which could be doubled following the referee's report.
The player has already received a straight red card within the past year and any suspension would be extended if the offence is deemed similar.
Haran definitely misses the NFL games against Tyrone and Kerry in addition to St Mary's Sigerson Cup campaign, which he would have captained.
Donegal have lost their three opening NFL games and are already battling against relegation.
Tyrone, meanwhile, are expected to leave Peter Canavan and his Errigal Ciaran colleagues on the bench for Sunday's match in Coalisland.
Down, meanwhile, will be without another St Mary's College player Dan Gordon in Sunday's NFL game against Laois.
Damian Barton: UUJ Sigerson manager |
Midfielder Gordon recently underwent an operation on a toe injury and he also has a broken finger and a hamstring injury.
Gordon played a big part in St Mary's first round Sigerson victory over Waterford IT but he seems certain to miss the concluding stages of the competition in Cork and several NFL games.
Meanwhile, Damian Barton's UUJ Sigerson team are in action against Athlone in the first round of the competition on Wednesday (Athlone 1430 GMT).
Victory will earn Jordanstown a place in the closing stages of the competition.
Barton will be able to call on several intercounty stars including Tyrone's Sean Cavanagh, Antrim forward Kevin Madden, Donegal midfielder Jim McGuinness and Down's Michael Walsh.
Errigal Ciaran men John Devine, Cormac McGinley and Enda McGinley could also start while Down's Liam Doyle is also likely to play.
However, Armagh duo John Toal and Barry Shannon are likely to be ruled out through injury.
Athlone will be without their star player Mayo man James Gill who was sent off in last week's game against UCD.
