Glenavon 0-2 Lisburn Distillery
A change of manager has not brought a change of fortune for Glenavon in the Premier Division of the Irish League.
Saturday's home defeat against Lisburn Distillery means the Lurgan team have now gone nine games without a championship win.
Indeed they have only managed two draws in that depressing sequence.
New boss Alfie Wylie went in for the half-time team talk with his side two goals down.
The Whites got the opener on 14 minutes when Gary Clifford and David Irwin combined to open up the home defence.
It was Irwin who shot past Paul Rice to set Distillery on the victory trail.
The second goal came from a hotly disputed penalty five minutes before the break.
Referee Mark Courtney ruled that Andrew Hamilton had fouled John Martin and from the spot-kick Mark Holland scored his fist goal for six matches.
Institute 0-1 Newry Town
A Martin Reilly goal eight minutes from time gave bottom-placed Newry Town only their fourth league win of the season.
Reilly struck the winner after John Joe Maguire's initial effort had come off the crossbar.
Newry are now seven points behind the clubs immediately above them - Glenavon and Crusaders who both lost on Saturday.
