Jody Tolan and Rory Hamill got goals for Coleraine |
Coleraine 3-1 Ards
Coleraine stretched their unbeaten run to 19 league and cup games by coming from a goal down to beat Ards at Ballycastle Road.
They recovered after going behind to a Raymond Campbell goal to secure a victory which takes them to within nine points of second-placed Portadown.
Marty Quinn's men have two games in hand on the Ports so they have their sights firmly set on the runners-up position.
They have a chance to close the gap to six points as they take on Lisburn Distillery at home on Tuesday night.
Campbell's goal on 32 minutes was a boost for an Ards team which had lost three successive league matches.
The former Linfield and Glentoran winger found the net after Ards strkers David Rainey and Garry Haylock had missed earlier chances.
Coleraine levelled three minutes into the second half through Jody Tolan.
Stephen Beatty put Coleraine into the lead with a superb strike on 55 minutes and then Rory Hamill made it 3-1 in the 68th minute.
