Na Fianna deny McGeeney switch
Kieran McGeeney is a certainty to win an Allstar this year
Kieran McGeeney was voted GPA footballer of the year
Na Fianna chairman Charlie O'Reilly has denied reports that Armagh's All-Ireland winning captain Kieran McGeeney has quit the club to return to his native Mullaghbawn.

"McGeeney is with us rock-solid," the Na Fianna official told the BBC on Friday morning.

A senior Armagh source also told the BBC that suggestions that McGeeney was on his way back to Mullaghbawn was "news to me".

McGeeney has helped Na Fianna win three successive Dublin titles.

However this year, the club's hopes of a four-in-a-row in Dublin were ended when they were thrown out of the county championship after playing an illegal amount of substitutes in the quarter-final win over Raheny.

They then attempted to take out an injunction against the Dublin county board's decision but this proved unsuccessful.

During McGeeney's spell in Dublin, Na Fianna have claimed the Leinster Club title and were beaten by Crossmaglen in the All-Ireland decider.

McGeeney won an Ulster club medal with his native club in the early '90s before switching to the Dublin outfit.
