Mayobridge could be badly understrength when they attempt to turn the tables on Ulster club champions Ballinderry on Sunday.

'Bridge are seeking revenge over the All-Ireland champions having been beaten in last year's provincial decider.

But the Down champions have not had an ideal build-up to the Ulster quarter-final at Newry.

Manager Jackie McManus has had to contend with injuries to three key players.

Defender Noel Sexton has an ankle injury, star forward Glen McMahon has been struggling with a groin strain while Ronan O'Hare has a back complaint.

Solid defence

There are big question marks over the availability of all three for the crunch game.

Despite losing Darragh Tighe, who has moved to Australia, the Mayobridge defence has a solid look about it.

However, Brendan Grant and his defensive colleagues can expect to be fully tested by the Ballinderry attack which boasts the talents of Enda Muldoon, Declan Bateson and Gerard Cassidy.

The evergreen Mickey Linden is still starring for Mayobridge up front.

He was surprisingly taken off during last year's Ulster final when the Down outfit lost 1-10 to 1-07 to Ballinderry at Casement Park.

Ballinderry will be strongly fancied to continue another championship charge.

They retained their Derry title by beating Swatragh, Bellaghy, Lavey and then a strong Loup outfit in the final.
