Ballinderry retain crown
Ballinderry celebrated more success when they beat Loup
Ballinderry held on to their Derry county crown

Ballinderry 1-11 Loup 0-6

All Ireland champions Ballinderry retained their county crown by beating Loup in Sunday's Derry decider at Celtic Park.

It was the first time these near neighbours had met in the final and Ballinderry's experience told to give them their seventh county championship.

All Loup's six points were scored by Ronan Rocks.

Ballinderry's leading scorer in the championship Gerard Cassidy scored five frees and two points from play to take his tally for the campaign to 0-27.

Darren Conway got Ballinderry's goal in the 23rd minute and at half-time they led by 1-4 to 0-3.

  • The junior final ended in a draw with Ballerin and Limavady scoring 11 points each.
