McCloskey signs for Ulster
Ulster's South African coach Alan Solomons.
Alan Solomons will benefit from McCloskey's services
Armagh gaelic football team trainer John McCloskey is lending his skills to the Ulster rugby team.

For he has signed a one-year part-time contract as fitness advisor to the Ulster squad.

McCloskey will work alongside team coach Alan Solomons and conditioning coach Phil Mack and is already planning the pre-season build-up.

The Belfast-based fitness guru is currently devising a fitness programme for the Armagh gaelic squad as they prepare for their Ulster championship final with Donegal on 7 July.

McCloskey will mainly involved with strenth conditioning in the weights room.

He will also be working closely with Ulster's international players under the direction of Ireland's fitness expert Mick McGurn.
