Richards' Prodrive prepared Subaru's rally cars

The head of the Banbury-based motorsport company Prodrive, David Richards, says he is targeting a return to the World Rally Championship.

Prodrive ran the Subaru rally team until the Japanese manufacturer withdrew from the competition in 2008.

"The focus at the moment is on a return to the World Rally Championship," Richards told BBC Oxford.

"It won't be with Subaru. They have withdrawn from the championship. It will be with a new manufacturer."

Prodrive have an impressive track record in a wide range of motorsports and recently guided Aston Martin Racing to the Le Mans Series championship.
