Kennett was unable to lead an injury-hit Bees team to victory

Coventry Bees failed to pick up any points from an Elite League meeting for the first time this season after losing 55-31 at Poole Pirates.

A depleted Bees side returned to the scene of last year's title clincher with captain Eddie Kennett top-scoring with nine points.

Former skipper Scott Nicholls added seven (paid nine) riding in place of injured number one Hans Andersen.

Coventry used rider replacement for Przemyslaw Pawlicki.
