Ipswich Witches will finish bottom of the Elite League following the latest defeat on their travels. The 53-40 defeat at Swindon means the Witches must race in a relegation play-off against the Premier League winners. Witches director of speedway Chris Louis hinted earlier this season that the club could drop divisions. "It is certainly not out of the question. Too many riders are underachieving," he told BBC Radio Suffolk, following a poor run of form. The Witches have failed to record back-to-back wins this season and, as things stand, would face Premier League Leaders Edinburgh in the play-off to retain their status in Speedway's top flight.
