Lakeside Hammers have made a major change to their line-up with the return of Lee Richardson to Purfleet.

He left the club at the end of the 2009 season following the collapse of talks between the Hammers and his parent side, Swindon.

Richardson comes in for Krzystof Kasprzak who has left after a disappointing season.

"Last year was a complete blast for me and I'm looking forward to more success," said Richardson.

Hammers co-promoter Jon Cook decided to make a change after a narrow Elite League win over Ipswich last Friday.

He said: "We felt when we dropped the extra league point it was the final straw for the team at present.

"Since Lee packed his stuff away before the season started it hasn't felt right and when you make a mistake it's best to put it right."

Richardson will make his return to Hammers colours on Thursday at Ipswich.
