Belle Vue Aces face Coventry in the opening fixture of the season |
Belle Vue Aces have confirmed Danish rider Charlie Gjedde will take a late fitness test ahead of next week's season opener at home to Coventry. Gjedde is due in England at the weekend to test a swollen and bruised knee, with Aces boss Chris Morton seeking out a track he can use on Saturday. On Sunday, he will link up with other squad members for a private club practice at Kirkmanshulme Lane. Hans Andersen and Swede Peter Karlsson will join the Aces on Monday.
