Wolverhampton's outstanding year has been marked by two major awards from the Speedway Riders' Association.

The Elite League champions have added Track of the Year to their list of honours, with Freddie Lindgren named the league's Rider of the Year.

"We are absolutely proud and honoured to have won these awards," said Wolves owner Chris van Straaten.

"Credit must again go to Doc Bridgett and his track staff who provide the most exciting racing in the country."

Track chief Bridgett has previously been honoured for his work at Edinburgh, while Lindgren led the Elite League in scoring average over the 2009 season.

"We're delighted for Freddie, he was literally the top man in the league last season, and certainly took his career up to the next level," added van Straaten.

The Swede has agreed to return to Monmore for an eighth season in 2010, and will be joined by his little brother Ludvig.
