Coventry Bees suffered their heaviest defeat of the season so far as they lost 59-34 away to Peterborough Panthers on Monday.
Rory Schlein was the only Bees rider to emerge with any credit, weighing in with a paid 14-point haul.
Schlein told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "It was a good night for myself but really we should have pushed them a bit more.
"We've just got to forget about it and look to the next meeting."
Last time the Bees visited Peterborough in the Elite League they lost 59-35.
Coventry had however beaten the Panthers at the East of England Showground in the Knockout Cup earlier in the season.
Maximums in the opening two heats for the home side put the Bees firmly on the back foot and set the tone for the evening, with Coventry always chasing Peterborough's total.
