Harris was recently crowned British champion for a second time |
Coventry Bees moved second in the Elite League thanks to their bank holiday weekend double at Brandon. On Friday, Bees beat Eastbourne Eagles 55-38 with captain Chris Harris paid maximum and setting a new track record in the process. Coventry followed that up with a 55-36 victory over Ipswich Witches with Harris only pipped to 15 points by team-mate Rory Schlein. The meeting also saw the return of former skipper Scott Nicholls. With Olly Allen out with a broken leg, Nicholls has arrived at Brandon on an initial one-month deal although that could be extended to the end of the season if both parties are satisfied.
