Rossiter thinks there is more to come from his Swindon team
Swindon overtook Coventry into second in the Elite League after a dramatic final-heat win on Thursday.
Simon Stead and Leigh Adams beat their Bees opponents in heat 15 to secure a 47-43 victory.
Robins manager Alun Rossiter told BBC Wiltshire there is still plenty of room for improvement after they nearly let slip a 10-point lead.
"I'm happy but I'm very frustrated with the performance. There are riders who should be doing better," he said.
Swindon captain Leigh Adams top-scored with a paid 13 points with good support from former Bees rider Stead, who scored 11.
Stead admitted he was full of emotion going into the last heat decider.
"I was nervous but at the same time I was confident. The management had a lot of belief in me and we knew if I could make a start we had a good chance of taking the win," he said.
"I'm just glad for everyone really; Swindon speedway, the supporters and myself for having a better meeting."
Rory Schlein top-scored for Coventry with a paid 11 points.
"We gave everything, we did not want to lose at home and it was one of those nights", he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.
Swindon, Coventry and Wolverhampton are only separated by points difference at the top of the table.
