Alun Rossiter's Swindon side beat Coventry by 17 points |
Swindon produced their best performance of the Elite League season so far to beat Coventry 56-39 at Blunsdon. Leigh Adams was unbeaten for the Robins and had good support from Jurica Pavlic, Ryan Fisher and Troy Batchelor. Pavlic picked up the rider of the night award after scoring 11 points from four rides and manager Alun Rossiter was impressed with the team's display. "It just shows what a good powerhouse we have when we get things sorted," he told BBC Wiltshire. The teams meet again on Friday night at Coventry and Rossiter wants the same level of performance on the road. | Pavlic is starting to ride with a smile on his face Robins manager Alun Rossiter |
"We've got to do it away. There's no good doing it at home every week, we've got to put that performance on the away tracks." Rossiter was also pleased with Pavlic's performance after a slow start to the term. "He's had a few little problems back home but I think he's coming through them now and he's starting to ride with a smile on his face." Meanwhile the Robins' management expect to complete the transfer of Troy Batchelor from Kings Lynn within the next week. The issue had been due to be resolved at arbitration earlier this week but, although the hearing was postponed, Swindon are confident a deal will be finalised within the next seven days.
