The Brummies are on the verge of Trophy elimination |
Birmingham have no room for manoeuvre when they host Stoke in the Premier Trophy on Good Friday. Last week's defeat at Scunthorpe left the Brummies facing an uphill task if they are to reach the semi-finals. "This is a big meeting for us and we know we have to win it - it really is as simple as that," said Brummies manager Graham Drury. "We know it will be a tough one because Stoke have a super side this season, Phil Morris will be a massive threat." Morris returns to Perry Barr in the away garages after an injury-hit season riding for Birmingham in 2008, and may negate some of the Brummies' home advantage as he is something of a track specialist. | We were gutted to lose at home to Newport last week, so it's time to put it right Brummies manager Graham Drury |
"We need our fans to get right behind us and hopefully this will be the meeting when we all click as one," Drury added. "We were gutted to lose at home to Newport last week, so it's time to put it right." The Brummies are unchanged for now, but the current line-up is under pressure after an indifferent start to the season.
