Elcock believes he can regain the British middleweight title |
Wayne Elcock is hoping to return to action in the summer after losing his British middleweight title to Matthew Macklin in March. Elcock, 35, told BBC WM: "I've booked a trip to America to train with a guy called Goody Petronelli. "He used to train the great Marvin Hagler. So that will be a fantastic experience for me. "Then I will be coming back over here to relaunch again, and hopefully I will be looking to fight again in June." Elcock says he has received great encouragement from his fans and his promoter Mick Hennessy. "I'm just glad to be back out, and I'm glad to have a promoter that's got faith in me," he added. "It is that faith - of the supporters and the people of Birmingham - that has made me think 'come on, son, you're not going to retire on that'. Am I hell as like. I can't wait to get back. I want that title back."
