Redcar Bears captain Gary Havelock will again lead his hometown side in the Premier League after committing himself to another year at the club.

The news is a bonus for new team boss Brian Havelock, who was pleased to have re-signed the veteran, his son, for the new campaign.

"We have been conducting negotiations by e-mail but we finally got there," said Havelock.

"There's only one reserve spot to fill and we can settle down now."
