Swiderski agreed terms to return to Foxhall in 2009 |
Ipswich Witches promoter John Louis has apologised to the Peterborough Panthers over the timing of announcing the signings of two of their riders. Piotr Swiderski and Danny King have joined the Witches from the Panthers but the news broke before Peterborough were officially informed. Louis said a leak had led to a press release being sent out too early. However he insists the correct procedures were followed over the signing of Swiderski. In a statement Louis acknowledged the news should not have been released until Peterborough had been told that deals with Swiderski and King had been concluded. But he said: "We would however like to let our fans and sponsors know that we have as always followed the correct procedures and were indeed given permission to talk to Piotr shortly after the conclusion of the season. "It is incomprehensible to think that we or any other club would consider publicly announcing a riders signing without having first acquired permission to talk to him."
