Wolverhampton secured their Elite League status on the last night of the season at Monmore Green by winning their relegation race-off. They won the second leg of their play-off against Edinburgh 53-39 on Monday to emerge 106-76 victors overall. Jesper B Monberg top scored with 12 points and Nicolai Klindt had 11. Wolves manager Peter Adams said he was disappointed that when the club tried to strengthen midway through the season, riders were reluctant to help. He told BBC WM: "We've got a very big retained list of riders here at Wolverhampton with some international class riders on the books. "But for one reason or another when it came to July they didn't want to join the party and we had to pick up the pieces." Wolves had won 53-37 against the Scottish side at Armadale on Friday.
