Berwick Bandits promoter Peter Waite is to sell the club despite their 58-37 Jack Young Shield semi-final win on Saturday at Isle of Wight. The Bandits will take on Workington Comets in this Saturday's final but Waite has already confirmed it will be his last meeting at the helm. "Next Saturday will be my last meeting as promoter at Berwick," said the Bandits' boss of nine years. "The club is up for sale with immediate effect and I'm looking for buyers now." On the track newcomer Lee Dicken was impressive, helping to grab a 5-1 in the eighth heat to hand the Bandits the overall lead for the first time.  | 606: DEBATE | Dicken and fellow guest rider Jason Doyle were at the heart of most of Berwick's scoring, contributing to all of their five maximum-point heats. The first leg of the Jack Young Shield final against Workington takes place at Shielfield Park on Saturday, 25 October with the return in Cumbria on Sunday, 26 October.
