Shaun Tacey is likely to miss the rest of the speedway season |
King's Lynn Stars team manager Rob Lyon has told his side to carry their good home form into the play-offs. Their final home meeting of the regular Premier League season is against Reading on Wednesday. The Stars are already virtually assured of a place in the play-offs and are third in the table. And Lyon told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We want to keep momentum going into the play-offs so it is important that we keep winning." King's Lynn will be without Rusty Harrison and Shaun Tacey for the clash with Reading and probably for the rest of the season. Harrison is being treated for suspected blood clots while Tacey has a broken collarbone. | We want to try and win it for our supporters and the club in general King's Lynn team manager Rob Lyon |
Mildenhall's Jan Graversen will come in as a guest in place of Tacey while the Stars will have to use rider replacement to cover for Harrison. Lyon thinks his riders already have the play-offs on their mind. "We always have a get-together before a meeting and they would love to win the play-offs. "It's always nice to win something in a season and we want to try and win it for our supporters and the club in general." Lynn's Kevin Doolan and Reading's Ulrich Ostergaard are the riders with the highest average in the division this season. Reading also have former Stars favourite Tom P Madsen in their team.
