Tomas Topinka picked up 12 points as Lynn drew at Reading |
King's Lynn Stars failed to go top of the Premier League after drawing 45-45 at Reading. The Stars were two points behind with two races remaining but Simon Lambert's victory squared the meeting going into the final heat. Reading's Ulrich Ostergaard won the last race ahead of Lynn duo Tomas Topinka and Kevin Doolan. The result leaves the Stars third in the table and in with a good chance of reaching the play-offs. The top four Premier League teams will extend their season and compete for promotion to the Elite League. Lynn only have one more away meeting, at bottom club Mildenhall, with three more to come at home. The draw at Reading gives the Stars a six-point advantage over fifth-placed Redcar.
