Simon Lambert remained unbeaten by a Mildenhall rider

King`s Lynn Stars have moved to second in the Premier League after thrashing Mildenhall 72-18 at the Norfolk Arena.

The Fen Tigers managed to finish ahead of Lynn riders in only two of the 15 heats with Dane Jan Graversen runner-up in race six and winner of the last.

Kevin Doolan, Tomas Topinka and Simon Lambert remained unbeaten by an opposing rider in a one-sided contest.

After 19 meetings Mildenhall have failed to win a single league match this season.

King`s Lynn will attempt to improve their less impressive away form when they travel to Hertfordshire to take on Rye House Rockets on Saturday evening.

BBC Radio Norfolk speedway correspondent Edwin Overland said: "The Mildenhall win sends out a message to the rest of the league that Lynn are a dominant force, but they need to pick up points on the road if they`re to regain their Premier League crown."
